Here we have another marvelous post from Sean Hampson, a user who got in touch with me months ago and has been forwarding some really great and rare content. Make sure to check his dedicated Category to enjoy the stuff he’s been sending.
This is the time for one of the best sounding (unofficial) bootlegs, called “Naked Dolls In The City”. The release of “A Boy Named Goo” offered the band the chance to do a little tour in Japan for the first time since their adventure began in 1985. This bootleg captured their performance which took place in Tokyo on May 30th, 1996.
Like I said, in terms of quality this is a really fantastic release, In terms of contents, just the same. You’re looking at 80 minutes of music featuring all the classic Goo songs of that era.
“Naked Dolls In The City” is a 2CD album for a total of 22 songs. Check the Discogs page for it by clicking here. Below are scans of both the front and back covers. I’m guessing whoever created this wasn’t much familiar with the original song titles.

Check the video below to listen to it. Also, download links are available at the end of this post. Thanks again Sean for another brilliant and impeccable release!
