John Rzeznik 1995 Interview And Some More Rare Pictures

User Bailey reached out to share a very interesting YouTube link, and a very cool collage of quite rare photos.

In the video posted below, John talks about how his big sister inspired him to follow a music career. Bailey also forwarded a thorough message, so I will let her do the talking. All I’m gonna say is that I never knew about this story. I knew John was influenced by his parents in terms of becoming a musician, with her mother playing the flute (I think, might be wrong about that) and his father playing another instrument I can’t quite remember.

Don’t forget to check the pictures at the end of the post.

Thanks again Bailey for the nice content!

Today I am here to share an interview I found a while ago. I already posted it on youtube, so I’ll just share the link with you. Let me explain a little bit. The quality is not very great (This is not owned by me nor did I convert it) but it is still decent enough that you can hear it. John talks about how his sister first turned him onto music, and what music he liked as a kid, and what he liked listening to then. (in 1995)

The cover is a collage I made out of a bunch of pictures of John ranging from 1984-1997. I’m going to attach the actual image I used in case people want to save it.

Now for the “More Rare Pictures” part: These pictures are scans from the CD insert of the compilation “Goo Goo Dolls What I Learned About Ego Opinion Art And Commerce” released in 2000. The pictures got a little grainy from the scan but they are still good quality. One of my personal favorites is the one where John, Robby and George are in (I’m assuming) their “tour van” on a mattress. Top right of one of the two pictures. Pretty neat pictures. It makes me think though, there’s many hours of footage still yet to discover from both pre dizzy and after dizzy. I hope people will be encouraged to share some of their own bootlegs etc. with TOG.
