AOL Sessions (2002)

To promote the release of their long-awaited album “Gutterflower”, the Goo Goo Dolls performed a 4-song show which was recorded at the AOL studios in Los Angeles.

On February 28th, 2002, John et al. were invited by the famous American online service provider AOL to perform a few tunes. This was a very short concert which featured no interview with any of the members whatsoever.

Overall, I liked the execution and I wished they had played more songs, given the fact that the latter turned out to be pretty nice to the ears.

I’m sure you’ll like this small contribution from the band, which took place in a crucial time in their history when they had to prove to the world, once again, that they still got it.

In terms of audio quality, not bad at all. Unfortunately, whoever ripped this only encoded it at 128kbps. Audiophiles won’t be happy about it, while the rest of the listeners won’t care one bit.

You can listen to the concert below. Download links are available at the end of this post.

PLEASE NOTICE: You will be downloading a single .MP3 file featuring the entire performance. This is how I obtained the show, and I decided not to split it or doctor it in any way in order to preserve its original status as much as possible.
