A while ago I posted a live performance the band did at the Filene Center in Virginia back in 2016. One year later, they return to the same venue for another amazing concert.
On August 8th, 2017, the Goo Goo Dolls stepped onto the same stage to perform once again. Just like the previous time, we get a pretty long set list and a very cool sounding show.
To me, what stands out here is a very peculiar execution for the song “Broadway“, lasting more than 8 minutes, featuring never-heard-before bridges and guitar solos.
For the encore song, the band is also joined on stage by a female vocalist who sings along with John. Furthermore, it’s nice to see another track from “Superstar Car Wash” making an appearance in pair with the usual “Lucky Star” tune. I’m obviously referring to “Already There“, which during this tour was actually played in more than one occasion.
In terms of audio quality, it’s very very good. Clean and polished. This was definitely a job done by a professional recorder.
