To promote the “Magnetic” album, the Goo Goo Dolls were invited to a number of TV shows, including “Front And Center”, which was, hands down, one of the most interesting initiatives I’ve experienced.
“Front And Center” was produced by NYC Media and aired on their live TV channel NYCTV. What was peculiar about the series is that it featured no commercial breaks, and gave the bands the freedom to perform whichever song they wanted, on top of letting them interact with the crowds any way they wanted. This type of flexibility is not very common when it comes to television programs, which usually tend to have a quite strict format/scheme to follow.
In terms of the concert itself, we get a total of 13 songs with a nice mixture of tunes from the 1998’s popular album “Dizzy Up The Girl” all the way to their then-latest aforementioned one. Running time is around 55 minutes.
During the event, we can notice that the drummer is not Mike Malinin. If memory serves well, he was actually fired from the band the year before. The guy replacing him was Rick Woolstenhulme, who was later on, in turn, officially replaced by the current one (Craig Macintyre).
Quality-wise, you’re looking at one of the best encodes we can offer. This was certainly a Satellite rip, coming with Full HD (1080p) video resolution and clean audio.
Please Notice: The video format for the file is .TS — Not all players may be able to reproduce it.
