A recent bootleg I came upon is a live performance which the Goo Goo Dolls did during their “Something For The Rest Of Us” tour.
On April 3rd, 2011, the band performed at The Grove in Oxford, Massachusetts. The location was basically at the center of the University Of Mississippi campus, surrounded by numerous trees and nature. We get a total of twenty songs, all written by them, without any covers whatsoever. Running time is about 80 minutes.
My impression is that whoever recorded this was quite far from the stage. As a result, the audio volume is overall quite low, and there are background noises that can be distinctly heard which ruin the experience, such as attendees nearby chatting or yelling. As a result, I ended up not enjoying this release much, despite the satisfying performance the Goo Goo Dolls managed to put up.
Nevertheless, this is another welcome addition to the blog, and one that in the end is worth posting for the fans.
