John Rzeznik And Robby Takac Singing Together: A Compilation (2023)

Today we share a very cool compilation made by contributor Bailey. Specifically, this release mainly focuses on songs whereby John and Robby can be heard singing together.

Bailey also sent us her comments with the link, which are posted below. For those who are wondering why the video was not uploaded on YouTube, she also explains what led her to use the Vimeo platform instead.

The video also features a collage of pictures of the band, some of them quite rare.

I’m here today to share a compilation I made this past week, featuring multiple songs John and Robby sing together in. This was requested by YouTube user “InvaderWeasel”, since it’s a pretty general known fact that I love making compilations and tributes, and have a lot of pictures. So that’s exactly what I did. I made a collage with a bunch of pictures featuring John and Robby together, then put it to a bunch of songs they sing together in. (I’ll attach the picture at the end of this email) That doesn’t just mean duets, that also means when they sing backup vocals for each other’s music. For example, about half the songs on “Jed” feature Johnny singing backup vocals for all of Robby’s songs. That’s the same for other albums and songs as well. A lot of people don’t realize it, but I hope this compilation will bring some songs into the light. I’ve also included some unreleased songs like “Tell Me” and “Dancin’ In Your Blood”, as well as “I’ll Be There For You”, since it’s a pretty unknown cover. In total, it added up to 31 songs, the running time being about 90 minutes. I couldn’t put every song they sing together onto this, or it would’ve been over two hours, so I just did the most obvious songs.


I’m not sure if you can embed videos if they’re not published through Youtube, but it shouldn’t matter. I had to post my video through Vimeo because youtube would’ve blocked it immediately.
