Live At The Banff Centre For Continuing Education, Canada (1996)

Today’s concert is probably one, if not THE most famous from the “A Boy Named Goo” tour.

On March 16th, 1996 the Goo Goo Dolls were invited to the beautiful and picturesque town of Banff, the renowned scenery where the 1998 Olympics took place.

The show is also known as “Snow Job”, for obvious reasons.

Now, this was a pretty short performance, with only nine songs being played, all of them taken from the then-newest release, with the exception of “Fallin’ Down“.

The version I have uploaded on YouTube is actually the third one being posted on that platform. Before me, users Johnny GooGoo and Rolling Rockvideos shared their own variations.

I don’t usually like to be redundant and prefer not to clog a given website with content which is already present in it, unless the situation requires it. In this case, I have decided to upload my version as well simply because the source which gave it to me told me it was a genuine, high-quality TV rip with some ulterior enhancements to make it look better, and more aligned with our current standards. The file itself rocks a 1.30GB’s and Full HD video quality (1080p), whereas the aforementioned previous two videos only come with 480p in terms of video size.

At the end of the day, I did end up noticing some improvements here and there, but nothing substantial when comparing it to the other two variations. I guess the final verdict in terms of whether or not it was worth posting it is up to you.
