John And Robby Presenting An Award To Micheal Jackson (1996)

Here is a very cool YouTube clip from the “A Boy Named Goo” era, featuring the band and Sandra Bernhard presenting an award for their first time ever.

Contributor Bailey sent us a short video taken from the American Music Awards which took place in 1996. Let’s hear it directly from her:

I did find an interesting little video clip a few weeks ago showcasing John and Robby (and Sandra Bernhard) giving an award to Michael Jackson (who happened to be filming a music video at the time and couldn’t make it) in 1996. It’s not the best, but I think it’s a good video to add to the Temple archives.

There were two different versions I found, one with slightly better quality—only showing the part where Robby opens the envelope with the award—and one with grainier quality but showing the entirety of the video (at least with Robby and John in it). I’ll just share both.
