Jim Crean – “Cuz You’re Gone” (2004)

During my (very long) chat with Paul Wanecski from the “Unplugged: A Tribute To MTV” band, I was made aware of an amazing cover of a Goo Goo Dolls classic which I want to share with you all today.

First and foremost, the Temple Of Goo’s first interview ever is being edited as we speak by Paul. It is likely it will be posted within the next few days. If you are not sure what I am talking about, here is a refresher for you.

Paul and I touched on several topics, and during our discussion he mentioned a very beautiful cover of “Cuz You’re Gone” performed by Jim Crean, a musician who will also be present at the upcoming Goo Goo Dolls tribute show at the Town Ballroom in Buffalo, NY. Jim is a very talented artist with an enviable reputation, as you can read on his official biography page.

In his 2004 album “Elegance, Excess & Decadence” he performed the aforementioned cover. You should really check it out, because it certainly classifies as one the coolest Goo covers I ever heard. Below is a picture of him during a concert.

Jim will be on stage with Paul et al. on February 17th, 2024. Don’t forget to check this website if you want to buy tickets in order to participate to the show. Also, keep your eyes peeled for the upcoming video of the interview with the Temple, where plenty of more details about the event will be made public.
