YouTube is certainly one of the best sources where to find rare, amazing stuff, mostly due to the fact that it’s easy to use and quite flexible, on top of being one (if not THE) most famous platforms on the internet. Sometimes, explorers are bound to unearth some very cool Goo Goo Dolls material, like in the case of this now-abandoned channel.
A conversation with contributor Bailey made me remember about S C, a YouTube channel I discovered right about the time I was assembling the blog back in early 2022. At the time, they had already posted some interesting releases some years prior, and after a hiatus which had lasted several more years, they had decided to add more videos to their archive.
When I discovered it, I quickly got in touch with the individual running it. We exchanged a couple of emails and they also offered to trade Goo stuff. Then, in a matter of days, they disappeared into thin air. The channel seems now abandoned, and it’s really a shame because I’m sure they had more Goo Goo Dolls stuff to add in there.
Temple Of Goo readers will certainly enjoy browsing S C, there are some gems to admire, such as:
- Two demo sessions for “A Boy Named Goo” (Part 1, Part 2), entirely comprised of instrumental takes. To my knowledge, these are the only leaks from that album, including the Robby Takac’s Rough Demos and the Pre-Mixing Cuts.
- Three “Superstar Car Wash” demo sessions which we have all already posted on our blog.
- The “I’m Addicted” demos.
- Instrumental versions of “Jed“, “Superstar Car Wash“, and “Gutterflower“. Bear in mind, these are not the original ones coming from the masters, but their AI-Generated counterparts. More info here.
There are other releases worth checking out. Take a look by yourself and have fun discovering them.
It’s really too bad the individual running the channel went dark. If you happen to read this blog post, let’s get in touch. I’m sure your contribution to the Temple Of Goo would be extremely appreciated by our community.
