Live From Abbey Road (2006)

Today we share an appearance the band did back in 2006, during the promotion of their then-newest release “Let Love In”. This time, John et al. flew all the way to London, UK, to visit one of the most iconic places in the history of music.

It looks like one of my source has finally woken up from their winter hibernation and decided to send some Goo stuff my way. The release I am sharing with this post is a 2006 appearance the Goo Goo Dolls did on a British documentary titled “Live From Abbey Road“.

In the video footage, several bands representing different genres are invited in London to visit the iconic Abbey Road Studios, the famous recording studio oftentimes used by The Beatles.

The Goo Goo Dolls make an appearance as well, and are filmed as they perform three songs recorded in the aforementioned venue. In the documentary, they are firstly seen walking about near the entrance of the studio, and then talk a bit about several topics in-between live studio versions of “Stay With You“, “Better Days“, and “Iris“.

The shots, quality of the audio and video in here are amazing, and it feels like watching a movie rather than a music documentary. Needless to say, this is a 1080p high-quality release boosting high bitrates for your viewing pleasure.

You will notice there are writings in Japanese all over the place, including below the individuals as they speak throughout the short interviews, in the form of subtitles. Apparently the source for the video is Japanese. Furthermore, this feels like a Satellite TV rip recorded from a cable source.

In terms of overall quality, this one certainly is one the best releases the blog has put out so far.

You can watch the video below. Download links are provided at the end of this post.

EDIT: The video is not available anymore, as it’s been taken down by YouTube for copyright infringement.
