Here comes another high-quality, high-resolution video for a concert the Goo Goo Dolls did back in 2018 in the Old Continent.
On August 13th, 2018 the band performed at the Sziget Festival in the city of Budapest, Hungary. The festival itself is known as one the most famous events in the entire European music scene. That was the first, and to date, only time John et al. did a show in Hungary.
The event was actually streamed on a TV channel, hence what we are posting today is what likely seems to be a Satellite TV rip of the show, encoded in Full-HD quality.
The concert itself boots a total of 18 songs, running time clocks in at about 75 minutes.
This is indeed one of the best releases I’ve come to enjoy in terms of audio and video quality, so expect a pretty big file if you decide to download it rather than stream it.
Track listing-wise, I’m surprised to see that most of the songs here come from their biggest release “Dizzy Up The Girl”, with only three tunes from their then-latest album “Boxes” and two from the previous one, “Magnetic”. To me, this feels like some sort of introductory concert to the band for the whole Hungarian audience rather than a typical “Boxes” tour show.
