Here comes another great and pretty rare release from contributor Christina. Today, we share a live performance which aired on TV back in 2002, as the band was promoting their then-newest album “Gutterflower”.
This is a pure live take featuring no interview at all with any members of the band. John et al. play the first single off the album, “Big Machine“. Christina has only a short comment about this video clip, which is part of a small group of TV rips she forwarded to us:
These videos are purely quality upgrades… these appearances are already on YouTube but all look more pixelated than mine. I suspect most of the existing uploads are the old Videopimp files that you’ve mentioned in the past. These late night appearances are pretty straightforward, so there’s not much to say on my end.
The TV appearance was taken from one of the many Late Late Show episodes, this time hosted by Craig Kilborn.
Quality-wise, like Christina said, this looks better than its counterpart which was already uploaded on YouTube by user Mswchef. You can watch their version here.
This is obviously a VHS rip standardized to the 640x480p format. Overall, I’d say pretty nice quality and definitely watchable despite its age.
