We finally put our hands (once again) on the full VH1 Storytellers performance which took place in 2002, in its audio-visual form. Our readers have been asking for the video of the whole show since it suddenly disappeared from YouTube for the longest time, so here it is.
Today I received a message from contributor Bailey. She was able to track down another copy of the famous unplugged performance the Goo Goo Dolls did during their “Gutterflower” tour in the early 2000’s. The TV performance is amongst the most loved and requested by the band’s fans ever since it took place more than 20 years ago.
We have already shared the audio-only version of the event, along with some of the clips taken from the long-lost video that was uploaded on the YouTube platform many moons ago. Thanks to Bailey, we now have another video copy of the whole thing. Firstly, let’s hear it directly from her:

I have very good news to share with you! Today I received an email from a fellow Gooer Zeeshan, who told me that he had VH1 storytellers! Lo and behold, he did, and I posted it on my channel.
And for those who want to download it, I also uploaded it to archive.org.

One thing I feel like mentioning is that the file was encoded at 352x240p format, meaning do not expect the best possible video quality. Considering this was a VHS rip, a 640x480p encoding for that medium should have been used. Nevertheless, at least we now have something that is watchable until a better version comes out.

Thank you Zeeshan and Bailey!! I’ve been itching to see this for a while… I could’ve sworn I had it, but it didn’t turn up on my tapes. Hopefully a true full version surfaces someday, but for now it’s great to see most of it all together 🙂
