As we have anticipated in one of the previous posts, amongst the material forwarded to us by contributor Christina there are also several short clips which last one minute or less, where the Goo Goo Dolls make an appearance for a few frames. Today, we share one more of these shorts.
The Goo’s did manage to be included in numerous VH1 TV programs, including “Rock Names”, where bands would discuss trivia and curiosities about what led them to name the music act like they did. Christina offers a few more details about the clip we present to you in this occasion:
Not sure when this is from, but this short clip is from another weirdly topical VH1 show. John (and Robby) spend a few seconds not-really-defending their band name choice.
Speaking of timelines, this is either a 1995 or 1996 clip. Because I could not find any evidence pinpointing it to a specific date, for now I will leave the post with the “Unknown Year” tag, unless someone else is able to provide a definite year for it.
This is obviously a VHS rip with the standardized 640x480p encoding format. Quality-wise, unfortunately not very good. We get to see a lot of visual disturbances throughout the whole clip, making it barely watchable. Nonetheless, this is certainly pretty rare material which is worth sharing despite its status.
