Sympathy + Interview (Live At NHL All Star Game, 2003)

Double treat for today coming straight from contributor Christina: a live take for “Sympathy” plus a short interview the band did at the same venue, that is the NHL All Star Game event which took place in 2003.

Even in this case we get a nice live performance followed by the guys speaking their minds about whatever topic is thrown at them. In this case, the interview is quite short unfortunately, but it is compensated by a near-perfect execution for the third single off their then-newest album “Gutterflower”. Let’s see what Christina has to say about it:

Two quick clips on this one. The performance of Sympathy is already on Youtube but this copy is a bit sharper. I also found a super short interview segment that aired during the same NHL game; unfortunately the person who recorded this didn’t catch the beginning of John’s comment so I’m not sure who he’s talking about.

Many thanks to YouTube user goozemell who originally uploaded the live take before us.

This is another VHS rip with the standardized encoding job performed at 640x480p. Quality-wise, I concur with Christina. This one looks overall cleaner than goozemell’s version, which is not something that happens often when it comes to VHS rips.

You can watch the video below. Download links are available at the end of this post.

PLEASE NOTICE: Christina originally sent us two clips: one for the live take and another for the interview. In the links below you will actually find three files, that is the aforementioned two plus a unified one which merged them both. The merging process was performed with a specific software which permits these operations without any quality loss whatsoever.
