Contributor Christina keeps sending our way another video representing her own versions of Goo Goo Dolls material which has already been published on the web. Let’s add this one to our archive as well.
I’m going to make a pretty short post for this release since I think it doesn’t really need much explanation. For those who complain as to why we sometimes post material that is already present either on YouTube or on the Temple, or both, the answer is always the same: It’s always better to have the original and at least one backup copy in place, in case the former suddenly disappears into nothingness.
Christina has forwarded to us a clip taken from the documentary produced by VH1 titled “Before They Were Rock Stars”. We already had another contributor, Bailey, sending us some info about it a while back. In here, John is shown some old footage of his band playing, and comments on it. Most of the clips included therein come from 1987-1990 shows. Let’s hear it from Christina:

I’m not sure the date on this either. John’s impression of his duet with Robby kills me every time.
I tried to Google for more info about the show but couldn’t come up with a precise year in which this aired. Mostly likely 2002/2003.
In terms of the video, this is a VHS rip coming with the standardized 640x480p encoding format. Quality is what it is, overall watchable but far from the clearest images one can get when old media like VHS are involved.
