Contributor Bailey just shared with us a couple of very interesting YouTube links. We will show the second video in a separate post, while for the first clip we utilize this one.
Apparently this was shot slightly after “Iris” was released as a single and began topping the charts worldwide. Let’s see what Bailey has to say about it:
Hello!
Been looking for something interesting to share with the Temple, and while listening to that radio interview you posted today (thanks Christina it’s hilarious!), I saw this!
Now I’ve had this weird random screenshot of John that I got from some archived blog from the 2000s, and wanted to know where it had come from.

So, right before the Grammys (which the Goos never won, which I try not to get fed up with even though—sorry Céline Dion fans—Goo deserved to win that year) Rosie O’Donnell and some friends crashed with the Goo Goos in their trailer. I feel like this was kind of cringy, but the boys played along. Johnny played a little bit of Iris for them. Rosie also recommends John some medication for the cold he was trying to get over. Really rare film we now get to archive! Big thanks to Gooer “Oceans_Of_Color” for posting this! She also has a cool Instagram account which has some really cool articles and pictures from her own collection.
So excited to get some more 1998 film in the Goo collection!
Cheers,
Bailey
Too bad about the overall quality of the clip, especially due to those weird colors making the images kind of hard to decode. I’m not sure whether or not it was a streaming issues, or the VHS it got ripped from was deteriorated. Either way, this is indeed quite rare material we are happy to archive here in the Temple’s vault.
Thanks Bailey for the submission.
