Live At Petersen Automotive Museum, Los Angeles, CA (2005) / New Contributor Joins Our Ranks

We are proud to announce that a new contributor has joined the Temple, and their first gift to you all is a very cool 2005 show which comes with great quality.

I always like to reiterate that a website’s success is, for the vast majority, more dependent of its users rather than on the individuals running the show behind the scenes. This is certainly the case for the Temple Of Goo, which has grown exponentially in the span of merely two years since its conception, mainly thanks to the precious contributions enacted by our ever-expanding community members. That being said, let us introduce you all to our new contributor: Ryne.

Just like Javier, Bailey, Sean, Christina, and others before him, Ryne took the initiative and contacted us through the Get In Touch page, expressing their willingness to share their little gems with other Goo Goo Dolls fans from all over the world. How could we pass on when such a proposal is being made? So today, Ryne officially joins our ranks as a Contributor, and most importantly, as one of the pillars upon which the entire Temple erects itself. He has already posted an intro message as a comment to one of our recent posts. If you missed it, here it is:

Otherwise, I’d like to introduce myself. My name is Ryne H., I am the newest member of this great Temple.

My first experience with the Goo Goo Dolls was when i first heard their song ‘Long Way Down’ through the Movie Twister.

And then i saw them in concert at the Hard Rock in August 2016.

I’ve got quite the catalogue of Goo Goo Dolls Bootlegs backed up for you fellas, And i think you may be in for a treat.

I look forward to seeing what i can do to help build up this great temple of goo. πŸ™‚

Ryne has also promised to provide us with more content in the coming days / weeks. While I’m sure you are all eagerly awaiting for more yummy stuff to be published, let’s focus on his first, official release.

The Goo Goo Dolls performed at the Petersen Automotive Museum in LA back in 2005, on May 6th. This was a nicely packed concert which basically served as a warm-up show in preparation of the upcoming “Let Love In” tour which was set to begin only a few months later. As you can see from the set list, the band decided not to include any of the tracks for the aforementioned album yet, and opted to mostly focus on songs from the then-last two albums.

If I interpreted it correctly, the show was streamed on Sirius XM, so it basically is a radio rip which actually comes with great audio quality, although the overall volume is a bit low. Along with the audio file (which in this case comes as a big, single .mp3 file containing the whole concert and encoded at 128kbps), Ryne also sent a video he made which basically merged the mp3 with a picture of the venue (this is basically the same thing we do when we post concerts on our YouTube page when we only have audio files for them — he did all the pre-work for us, we just had to write this post heh), plus a couple of pictures taken at the event, shown below:

In the name of transparency, all of the material Ryne sent us will be included in the download links provided below. As far as we are concerned, this is the first 2005 concert that we are sharing in our blog.

I’m sure you all will enjoy this show as it comes with an impeccable performance. While you listen to it, make sure to thank Ryne for all the hard work he put into and, and congratulate with him on having become another amazing and valuable member of our unique Temple!
