Live At The Palace Of Auburn Hills, Auburn Hills, MI (2003)

The next release from contributor Ryne is a “Gutterflower” concert which took place in 2003.

On February 18th, 2003 the band was playing in Michigan, specifically at the Palace Of Auburn Hills. Let’s hear it from Ryne who has more info about both the location and the nature of the show itself:

For my next release, We bring you another Audio-Only bootleg from the Gutterflower tour. From the 2003 leg, To be specific.

We have a performance from the Palace at Auburn Hills, In Auburn Hills, MI.

According to my research, The Venue in question was unfortunately closed in 2017, And later demolished back in 2020. So I suppose this particular bootleg will serve as a sort of memory from when the Venue still existed.

In terms of the show itself, It resulted in a 13 song set and a bootleg with reasonable sound quality. The volume does seem a little low to me, though the performance (I dare say) makes up for it. The set is essentially half-DUTG/half-gutterflower, with only Name from ABNG being the only other song from another record that was played.

It does also feature a performance of ‘All Eyes On Me’, For those that enjoy that particular song.

At any rate, I hope you enjoy this particular performance. 🙂

I concur with his analysis of the audio volume being a bit low. To me, this actually sounds like a pretty good recording and it would have been really great if it weren’t for the low volume. This certainly was not a soundboard job, although I think the ripper did end up with a nice release overall.

The audio is presented as a single .mp3 file featuring the entire performance, coming with an encoding of 256kbps.

I ended up liking the show, which was not very long (slightly more than 50 minutes of music) and, like Ryne wrote, was basically split between “Dizzy Up The Girl” and “Gutterflower” songs only, besides that only single exception.
