It’s been a while since the last time we posted a full concert from contributor Christina. Today we can enjoy one of her latest releases: a show from the “Gutterflower” tour back in 2003.
On January 25th, 2003 John et al. were amongst the bands invited in San Diego, CA for the pre-game cerimonies at the 2003 Super Bowl event. The band basically played a full performance as if it were one of their typical tour concerts. You can watch a video for the live take for “Big Machine” here.

Another radio rip; the quality definitely suffers from the streaming standards of the early ‘00s, but at least we have the show in its entirety. This audio has been uploaded to YouTube in full by a couple folks already, but here are the individual files for easier download. No real deep cuts on this one – this is more of a general audience, best-of type setlist pulling entirely from ABNG onward.
The show was comprised of a total 18 songs, however whoever ripped it also made separate files for the sections in which mere talking was happening. As a result, you will notice that the final release ends up featuring 23 files.
For transparency purposes I want to mention that one of contributor Ryne‘s latest releases was this very same concert. They both sounded equally, however Christina’s version came with those aforementioned separate files while Ryne’s was a single, long one featuring the performance in its entirety. I decided to go with Christina’s version because most users prefer single files (which make it easier to jump to a specific song of choice) rather than single, huge files (where they have to manually skip until they find what they want). When we get double releases which do not differ in quality but only in “packaging”, we prefer to go with the former solution rather than the latter. In any case, we thank both contributors for sharing their precious material. At the end of the day, competition is always a good thing.
Another detail worth mentioning: the files published below come with the .m4a format, which if I am not mistaken is the old format used by iTunes back in the day. Most players should be able to play them without too many hassles.
Quality-wise, I’d say the show sounds very good considering it is a radio rip of a live performance. The only factor I would complain about is the audio being a bit low for my tastes, but it could be just my wrong perception of the release itself.
