The next release from contributor Christina is another TV appearance the Goo Goo Dolls did back in 2000. This time, they play “Broadway” and are also interviewed by the host.
Here we go again with another pretty rare material from 2000, which represents the year with the most TV appearances by the band, along with 2002. In today’s video clip, John et al. appear on the Carson Daly’s Show “Total Request Live” (TRL). Christina has more info to share about it:
The Goos also appeared on TRL after the MTV premiere of the “Broadway” video. Here we see them interviewed by host Carson Daly about their experience touring South Africa, working with Bobcat Goldthwait on the music video, and performing the song live.
We diverge from the usual touch-and-go approach with this TV appearance, because this time the band is also given the opportunity to speak out their minds about a given topic, rather than simply playing their song before disappearing into commercials. This variable makes the clip more interesting, especially for those who are also curious about the member’s opinions rather than only about the music they perform.
The video itself is your typical VHS rip coming with the standardized 640x480p encoding format. Quality-wise, I’d say pretty good both in the audio and video departments.
