Contributor Ryne has forwarded another show, this time coming from the year 2003. A short performance featuring some of the best known tunes from the band.
On March 4th, 2003 the Goo Goo Dolls were at the Paradise Rock Club in Boston, MA. Now, I am not sure whether or not this was a simple 4-song acoustic performance, or it actually was a longer one. The setlist.fm entry I linked above only shows four songs, and Ryne’s release features just as many. Let’s get some more info directly from him:
Hey, Fellas! Got another audio-only bootleg for ya. This one comes from the Paradise Rock Club, Boston, In 2003.
The last time we’ve seen the GGDs at the Paradise Rock Club, It was during the ABNG tour back in 1995. This time they were back during their Gutterflower tour, But for a much shorter and more acoustic show by comparison.
This release gives you only a few songs, Which seem to come from both their then-current record and the previous one (DUTG).
Quality wise, Not the best. It is little hard to hear the group singing over the loud audience. Though I would say it is still fairly listenable, Especially when you can sort of feel the energy the audience had (lol).
Anyway, Hope you fellas enjoy this one.
I have found another version for the same show here, posted by YouTube user KTVBOSTON. I couldn’t notice any substantial differences between the two, so we are likely dealing with the same source.
Quality-wise, like Ryne said it is a bit hard to listen to as there is a lot of background distortion, especially in terms of a constant static noise emitting throughout the whole show. I also noticed that John’s voice sounds a bit weird, but that was probably due to the poor recording equipment being used.
