Contributor Bailey reminds us that the girl has been dizzy-ed up (is that even a phrasal verb?) for more than two decades.
Time flies indeed. To celebrate the 26th anniversary of the Goo Goo Dolls’ most famous and successful album, “Dizzy Up The Girl“, which took place yesterday, Bailey has a little surprise for all the 1990’s Goo aficionados out there. Let’s hear it.
Happy fall! It’s been a while since I’ve shared anything, but I do have a present for Robby coming soon!
Today I wanted to take some time to recognize one of the most pivotal albums the Goo Goo Dolls ever released: Dizzy Up The Girl. I’m kind of kicking myself for not doing this last year, because it was the 25th anniversary…but here I am, a year later!
So, for all those who love Dizzy like I do, I made a little collage dedicated to all Goo has done. This represents the mixed aesthetic of that era. My goal is to get Robby or John to see this, so share it wherever you would like! (At the moment I do not have an Instagram account, but I’m definitely considering it—I have hundreds of pictures to share!)
My sister claims she heard “Slide” on the radio the other day (my whole family knows how crazy I am about this band!) and I was shocked. I’ve heard Name and Iris on the radio all the time, but never Slide! I deeply appreciate how there’s so many new fans out there now! The Goo Goo Dolls are getting surprisingly more popular even still!
This is them right now on Spotify! I’ve followed them for years, and mostly, they stayed in the 400s, but wow, they’ve really grown. All from humble beginnings in Buffalo, New York, almost 40 years ago now…
Cheers to Dizzy up the Girl! And Cheers to the Temple for hosting my silly picture collections and rare footage!
You heard the lady. Start flooding John and Robby’s inboxes with this cool collage of pictures Bailey created, which you will find below:

Like Bailey said, the Goo Goo Dolls have gone a long way. Another prize to add to their ever-expanding collection of awards has to do with Spotify listens, which current statistics you can check out below:

Thanks Bailey for sharing your great collage!
