We continue publishing the last batch of contributor Christina‘s releases, which she sent our way a few months ago. As the new sharing rule is now in place, since last week the blog will only publish material that is not already uploaded on YouTube, due to file hosting restrictions. In reference to Christina’s batch, we will make an exception because at the time she forwarded her stuff, such rule was not effective. It is likely some of the next releases from her will be already featured on YouTube, and we will insert a notice within the post when that will be the case.
On April 27th 2002 the Goo Goo Dolls were guests at the alternative radio station KYSR. Their live performance was also streamed over the airwaves. Christina has more info about the event:

This is the epitome of an audience video recording… we’ve got camera movement, weird angles, lots of “woo!”s from the filmer or nearby audience members, and plenty of footage taped off the jumbo screens at the venue. So don’t get your hopes up about the picture quality, but I think there’s something kinda funny and charming about it. The sound is surprisingly okay, all things considered.
There’s a couple brief audio dropouts in this one — unfortunately I tried to rip this a second time and the same blips occurred, so I think it’s a flaw with the tape.
This is only a partial gig; it cuts off during “What A Scene”. Setlist.fm doesn’t have any info for this one so I don’t know how many songs are missing. Since it was a multi-artist show they likely would have played an abridged set.
Despite the incompleteness of this release, something that makes it worth listening to it is the welcome appearance of “There You Are“.
In terms of the video itself, this is obviously a VHS rip coming with the standardized 640x480p encoding format. Like Christina said, the picture department may be a bit lacking, however the sound one is more than acceptable.
