On September 30th, bassist and vocalist Robby Takac turned 60 years old. Contributor Bailey has shared with us a little present for him.
Takac is one of the original founders of the Goo Goo Dolls, for those (very few) of you who didn’t know already. He has been in the music business for decades and the band we celebrate through this blog was not his only project. If you’re curious, you can check out his Discogs profile for a detailed listing of his Goo and non-Goo related works.
Bailey has created a little present for Robby. Let’s hear it directly from her:
Hello!
I meant to share this a couple days ago but I’ve been really busy this week. Never too late though! For Robby’s birthday, I put together an adorable little video featuring clips from all over the years. These clips were those I felt best represented Robby’s amazing personality ❤️.
Robby’s lived an amazing life, and has inspired so many people (including me!) so take this time to wish him a happy 60th birthday!!
Sidenote, I just had to use the song Impersonality, and if you don’t know it well, give these lyrics a listen and I’m sure you’ll figure out why.
Made with love,
Bailey
Although we’re a bit late, we wish Robby a great birthday nonetheless, and we thank him for having kept the Goo Goo Dolls project alive for so many years.
Bailey has captured Robby to a T. What a wonderful birthday gift to Robby, every fan, and all things Goo. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting and hanging out with Robby in 1995. He is genuinely who he is! Bailey has captured our favorite gravely voiced bouncing barefoot jumping hair all over the place bassist! I’ve also had the pleasure of “meeting” and “hanging out” with Bailey Bishop, creator of the YouTube channel Six Aspirin for OG Gooers. May Robby have the privilege of meeting and hanging out with Bailey irl. YES!!! I just said, “Robby have the privilege of meeting Bailey!”
