Goo Goo Dolls feat. AI – “Up Yours” (AI Remix)

Let’s spend some spare time by using the latest AI technologies to revisit an old Goo Goo Dolls tune.

From time to time I like to take a look at the latest AI tools available to those like me who have taken an interest into this new, revolutionary enterprise. Today I want to share with you a fully AI-made remix of “Up Yours“. Below I briefly explain my workflow:

1. I used AI to create stems for the song, separating the vocals from the instrumental part of it
2. I used AI to create a remix for the instrumental section only
3. I merged together the vocals stem with the new, remixed instrumental version

The final result is a nice remix which is not extremely different from the original songs, however it does present some compelling, newly re-imagined sections of the song. In the video embedded below I included both the remixed versions (two of them) and their instrumental counterparts. By listening to the instrumentals you will clearly see where the AI remix really took place, and how.

This is just me messing around with AI. As of now only short songs seem to work properly with the tool I have at my disposal. In the near future I’m sure it will be possible to remix longer tunes, and even apply way more personalization in terms of effects, sounds, moods, and the likes. Think of the possibilities with the Goo Goo Dolls catalog. Myriads of them.
