Blog News: Back to slowdown mode for 2025?

Dear Temple Of Goo readers,

I already wrote about the infamous “Slowdown Mode” in the past, so I won’t bother you much with the details. In a nutshell, because this is a niche blog which mainly focuses on older Goo Goo Dolls material, we tend not to have at our disposal plenty of content to share at all times, given the fact that what we like to post is not as popular and widespread as say, content from the last ten to fifteen years.

So far we’ve done very good, with a total of 259 releases (according to our Download Category) since the website’s inception, which was back in April 2022. Needless to say, this record was achieved thanks to the precious contributions coming from our amazing Contributors, who have decided to take the next step (when it comes to interacting with a given site) and provided our community with their own rare material.

On the other hand, I also do searches and keep in touch with my sources hoping for more content to be sent my way, before redirecting it your way. I’ll be frank with you and admit that during the past months, at least since March or thereabouts, I obtained literally zero new content. Nothing was provided from my sources, nothing I was able to find by myself. The blog mostly kept going, pushing out material thanks to the interventions of contributors like Ryne, Bailey, and Christina. As far as the latter is concerned, we actually just published her last content from the latest batch she forwarded a long time ago.

As a consequence, as of this moment we have run out of things to share, and the blog is officially (again) on Slowdown Mode. What does it mean?

It means we will only post and publish releases when we get them, IF we get them.

How long will the Slowdown Mode last? Who knows. I will keep doing my best trying to find more stuff, and will even use my creativity to see if I can post something else created directly by me (I am thinking that, among a few ideas I got, AI-generated remixes and the likes could be a nice way to keep the blog alive). On the other hand, my sources keep saying that they will reach out to me as soon as they get their hands on something. We’ll see what happens.

The upcoming year 2025 is supposed to be very busy for the Goo Goo Dolls, but unfortunately it looks a bit grim for the Temple. The band will likely release a new album before the Summer Tour, as it’s been hinted many times during the most recent interviews both by John and Robby. Meanwhile, the Temple will probably run dry for most of it, unless we get an influx of stuff.

Whatever will happen in 2025, rest assured we will keep doing our best as usual. The Temple Of Goo will hopefully keep rising, and will try to offer the best available Old Goo content to those who will grant it with the occasional visit.

As we await for the new year to kick in, the Temple wishes you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Goo Goo Dolls feat. AI – “Acoustic #3” (AI Remix)

I had some spare time yesterday and decided to try my luck with another AI remix. This time, “Acoustic #3” seemed like a good candidate for a revisiting session.
