Contributor Christina‘s latest release is an upgraded version of a TV live performance which is already present on YouTube.
Today we post something that is often referenced by Goo Goo Dolls fans as one of the best live takes for “Sympathy“. In 2003 John et al. were invited to the famous Tonight Show With Jay Leno whilst the band was deep into their touring sessions to promote their latest release “Gutterflower”. Let’s get a bit more details directly from Christina:
These videos are purely quality upgrades… these appearances are already on YouTube but all look more pixelated than mine. I suspect most of the existing uploads are the old Videopimp files that you’ve mentioned in the past. These late night appearances are pretty straightforward, so there’s not much to say on my end.
The video she is referring to is likely this one. You will notice that Christina’s version looks better and is way less pixelated.
The band plays the song and there are also a few more seconds at the end of the clip, as they interact with the host.
This is obviously a VHS rip coming with the standardized 640x480p encoding format. Sadly, this is the second-last material from Christina before her latest batch runs out.
