One of my sources finally awoke from their long sleep, and provided me with a high-quality TV live take the band did to promote their latest album “Chaos In Bloom”.
In 2022 John et al. returned with a full length which clearly signaled the intent to musically trace back to a more rock-oriented sound reminiscing of their older stuff. Even though the radio-friendly single “Yeah, I Like You” isn’t amongst my favorites in terms of last releases, I think it is a pretty solid song with a contemporary outlook on social media and the phenomenon of the so-called “influencers”.
To promote their newest album, the band was invited to perform the song on the Jimmy Kimmel Live! show. I was surprised to discover that there isn’t already another version of this release on YouTube. Maybe there was but was later taken down.
Quality-wise, this is a HD version (1280x720p) ripped straight from cable TV. It looks and sounds quite good overall. We only get to enjoy the guys playing the tune, and no interview with any of the band’s members whatsoever followed up.
