For those of you who love instrumental versions of your favorite Goo Goo Dolls tunes, we publish the full vocals-less counterpart to what I consider their best album, courtesy of the latest AI technologies in the stem isolation department.
In our official YouTube channel you can find several AI-Generated instrumental versions of Goo songs, along with a few official ones. The former were made with old technology which is nowadays almost obsolete. The new SOTA (State-Of-The-Art) models are way better, and provide higher fidelity. We’re not at the stage in which it is possible to generate 1:1 instrumentals, that is AI-crafted takes which sound exactly like the real deal, but we’re getting there.
Thanks to the new SOTA models we can now enjoy better and richer instrumentals. Therefore, it is now time to redo the work, with the help of better-performing tools.
Today we start with my favorite release, 1993’s “Superstar Car Wash”. You can listen to the whole album in its vocals-less form by streaming the video below. In the near future we will start working on other releases. For now, take a look (well, actually, a listen I should say) at what we were able to produce and let us know if you like it.
