It’s been a while since the last time we posted a full Goo Goo Dolls concert, I know. Thanks to one of our readers, we finally have something very cool, very rare, and even semi-official to add to our archive.
User Chris from @geeksandguitars on YouTube reached out to us a few days ago and offered a live recording from the “Something For The Rest Of Us” tour. Specifically, the performance at The Paramount in Huntington, NY, which took place on November 12th, 2011.
We get a nice collection of 22 live takes with a total running time of almost 90 minutes. The vast majority of the tunes here come from “Dizzy Up The Girl”, “Let Love In”, and “Gutterflower”.
This bootleg offers very good quality and on top of that, it is semi-official. In fact, it was the band itself that actually released it through their Inner Machine website several years go, before it was taken down.
On another note, Chris mentioned that Billy Joel was in attendance, as you can see from one of the pictures below he also provided.
Overall, this is a great live show and certainly one of the best we’ve had the pleasure to put our hands on. Many thanks to Chris for taking the initiative and getting in touch with us to share this little gem. We’re sure all of our readers will love it and have fun with it just as much as we did.
