We already introduced to you all our new Goo friend Carla some time ago. She promised us she would provide the Temple with some rare footage. Today, she delivers yet again.
Carla Trujillo and her husband Vernon have been fans of, and in friendly terms with, the Goo Goo Dolls since the late 1980’s. They met John, Robby, and George on several occasions and still keep in touch with the former drummer to this day. Before continuing, I invite you to read this post, along with this one, for a refresher on the stories Carla has shared with us so far.
Carla mentioned before that she once was the caller during a live show where the band was being interviewed. Today, she forwarded the clip. That also means you’ll get to hear her voice.
This exclusive video showcases the trio being interviewed at the KDOC studios in 1990, as they were touring the US to promote “Hold Me Up”. I won’t spoil the interview for you, and leave it so that you can fully discover it. There are also callers who asked questions to the band, and like I wrote above Carla was among them.
In terms of the video itself, this is obviously your typical VHS rip. Expect the quality to be not so great, but overall I’d say it’s pretty good all things considering, and it’s not even as lowly pixelated as one would expect.
We want to thank Carla once again for this precious and extremely rare material!
