John Rzeznik’s first band: The Beaumonts

One of our readers, Petra, has spotted a video on YouTube which features a picture of John Rzeznik playing in his first band: The Beaumonts.

Before the Goo Goo Dolls were born, John was the guitarist in a Buffalo, NY band with (if I remember correctly) Robby’s cousin. The Beaumonts likely lasted mere months, however Petra was able to find a video which showcases several pictures taken during their existence, including one featuring John in his teenage years. I just found this in the www by chance and I think it might be interesting for you to check out.

It’s a video with a song from “The Beaumonts”, Johnnys first band. It’s without title. At 1:00-1:03 there’s a photo where John is playing guitar in this band. It’s a larger version of the black and white photo of John that you have here already somewhere in your block. Because of this I guess that the guitar (or one of the guitars) in this song / in this vid is played by John. Would be one if the earliest “traces” of Johns musical carreer. Please check it out.
