Robby Takac shares his thoughts in this very interesting 1999 interview

Contributor Bailey is well-known for finding hidden Goo gems scattered around the infinite internet wastelands. Today is no exception, as she provided the Temple with a very interesting interview bassist and vocalist Robby did back in 1999.

In 1999 “Dizzy Up The Girl” was all the rage and the band officially sealed their worldwide fame with all the singles off of that release which came after “Iris” and “Slide“. Bailey has found an interview Robby Takac did right around that time, as the Goo Goo Dolls started to gradually become a very popular name all around the globe in the matter of weeks. Let’s see what Bailey has to say about it:

Hi,

It’s been a really long time since I’ve sent anything, but I have something pretty cool to share today.

This is an interview Robby did for a magazine called “The Reader” (I think) in 1999. He talks about success, indie cred, and other good Robby stuff.

Here’s the article link

The website also had a link to the transcript of the interview which I honestly think is way cooler!! If you want to check that out too, it’s here

Just thought I’d also mention that I LOVEDDDD the pictures Carla sent of the Goos from 1991! That interview was awesome too!! If she sees this, thank you!

I won’t spoil it for you and will just leave you to discover some nice, late 1990’s trivia for yourself.

Many thanks Bailey for yet another amazing find.
