We publish another little gem coming from contributor Christina. The success of “A Boy Named Goo” sparked interest even amongst filmmakers. “Iris” was the result of the director of “City Of Angels” falling in love with “Name” and wanting the Goo Goo Dolls to pen a song for his flick. However he was preceded by another director, the one in charge of a promotional clip for the 1996 US baseball season, who noticed the potential contained within ABNG and offered John et al. the chance to interpret one of the most famous tunes representing the ball game.

Joe and Jessica are back at it again with their AI-generated opinions, courtesy of Google’s NotebookLM technology. This time, they have a vivid discussion about none other than former drummer and original member of the band George Tutuska.
The Temple Of Goo articles used as references, which were fed into NotebookLM, are:
- The main blog post about George and his pivotal role in the Goo Goo Dolls (one of the most-read articles in the Temple, which keeps getting new reads on a daily basis)
- The story about the original album cover for “A Boy Named Goo”
As always, don’t take all the info we present here, both using our posts and the podcast itself, at face value. Some of it is indeed factual, other stuff is speculation and logical connections.
The podcast may get a couple of things wrong here and there. The technology is still under heavy development.
PLEASE NOTICE: The podcast kind of ends abruptly. All it was missing was just the goodbyes from the speakers anyway.
