Mike Joyce

Hi.

I just wanted to let you know how much I love your blog on vintage Goo Goo Dolls. I discovered it this past weekend.

I got to see them a few times back in the day—on the Hold Me Up tour at Lee’s Palace in Toronto in ‘91, on the Superstar Car Wash tour at the 9:30 Club in DC in ‘93, and on the Boy Named Goo tour at CBGB in New York City in ‘95. All three shows were stellar!

I also caught them at a very weird MTV & VH1 party at some bar in Boston in 2004 but that was nothing like the other three because it was an industry event.

Anyway, those three albums plus Jed are favorites of mine, with Jed being my introduction to the Goos but unfortunately I was too late to the party to catch that tour.

Personally, I never liked their sound after Boy Named Goo but always rooted for them and was happy for them when they broke through and went big time.

All the best and keep up the great work!

Mike
