The Goo Goo Dolls Visit Mojo In The Morning (2000)

Today’s clip comes from a suggestion forwarded to us by contributor Bailey. John and Robby are interviewed, and also play a few Goo Goo Dolls classics in an unplugged fashion.

In 2000 the band was a guest at the radio show Mojo In The Morning, which aired from Michigan. Let’s hear directly from Bailey what the Goo’s did in that occasion:

A Fellow Gooer Bettina shared a very rare, special video with me. I reposted it yesterday and I’m here to share it today.
The Goo Goo Dolls paid a visit to a breakfast club type building in Detroit, which I know they mentioned the name during the interview, but I can’t recall it right now. The radio station broadcasting this interview/performance was Mojo In The Morning.
This features questions straight from the fans, a few of which did extreme things for the Goos! It also features unplugged performances of both Slide and Black Balloon…and a few lines of Iris sung acapella by John (that will make sense when you watch it). And besides that, it’s a performance from 2000, which you don’t find much of in the Goo world. This is really funny and something well worth adding to the Temple of Goo archives.

Originally posted here (this is the full version, but John and Robby don’t come out until around the 23 minute mark).

Also, as a tribute to the archive preservation project the Temple is starting, I also archived it, which you can find here (just in case it gets blocked from YouTube or something)

Thanks a lot Bailey for the very interesting material.
