Today we publish one of the rarest material the Temple Of Goo has put its hands on so far, that is a very rare promo picture of the Goo Goo Dolls taken in late 1992.
This photo was shot around the same time the band did another photo session for their fourth full length, “Superstar Car Wash”. Only one photo from the latter was used, which ended up on the back cover of the album where the track listing is present.
The other late 1992 picture, shown below, was featured in a magazine issued some time before the album was released. I like this one particularly, as it shows former drummer George Tutuska posing in the middle of the group. Not many people know that his precious contributions were fundamental in shaping the final form of “Superstar Car Wash”, which I personally consider the band’s best release to date.
