One of our amazing readers just sent my way another version of the famous VH1 Storytellers show, which was released in 2002. This time, we got the video for the entire show.
Alright, here we go again with one (or maybe THE?) show Goo Goo Dolls fans seem to love the most. First and foremost, many thanks to user Ryan Warren for taking the time to sending it to the Temple.
Now, I know we have already shared some variants for the aforementioned show. Below is a quick summary:
- Various clips
- The audio-only version of the show, split in two parts: Music only, and Music + Stories
- The video version, although partial (two songs missing)
The very last release we put out (the third entry in our list above) was provided to us by contributor Bailey, who forwarded our way what likely was a YouTube rip of the show, although it was missing two songs.
Ryan is coming in with the full version, at the same conditions as Bailey’s file. What do I mean by that?
Both files seem to come from the same source (YouTube), and both files feature the same encoding format (352x240p). This is a low-resolution format which is quite far from the standardized VHS one (640x480p), but nonetheless worth sharing because we now have the full show. What we need to take it one step further up is an actual, proper VHS rip of it, which will feature higher video and audio quality.
In the meantime, while we wait for a savior, we can now enjoy the whole performance, thanks to the interventions of our readers, of course!
As a side note, to avoid confusion, I renamed Bailey’s release with the [Partial] tag.
Again, many thanks to Ryan Warren for his precious contribution. This goes to show that when fans are prone to share and collaborate, pretty much anything is within reach.
