A 1997 article and a photo from the Edgefest concert

Today contributor Javier sent us the scanned image of a newspaper article about one of the very few concerts the band played one year before “Dizzy Up The Girl” changed their lives.

1997 is one of those “Blear Years” when the band was not very active, and within which fundamental changes were taking place, for the good or bad. Javier found an old article talking about the only concert we have been able to unearth (so far) from that very same year, that is live performance at the Edgefest in their native Buffalo, NY. The article also comes with a picture of John and Robby on stage. Let’s hear it directly from Javier:

Hello, it’s been a long time since I sent a file. I found a photo from a newspaper from 1997 of the edgefest concert. Johnny appears with long hair and Robbie on his right side, you can find it in this link.

The article was extrapolated from here, and is shown below. Unfortunately, its quality is not the greatest and I also had a bit of a hard time deciphering what was written on it as well. Nonetheless, this is pretty rare material which we are now glad to add to our ever-growing archive.
