New contributor Ryne is on a roll and has already sent us his second release: a 2002 concert which took place during the “Gutterflower” tour, packed with a total of 22 songs and featuring a live take for “What Do You Need?“, a tune the band only played during that year in a few occasions.
Here we go with another show our readers will likely enjoy a lot, to say the least. Ryne has forwarded us a video recording of a concert which took place in New Jersey on August 14th, 2002.
This was your typical “Gutterflower” performance with most of the songs coming from their then-latest two albums. As I mentioned above, this release is quite special because it gives us the opportunity to listen to a live take for “What Do You Need?“, a song they rarely played in front of an audience.
Ryne has a few words to share about it:
First off, I’d like to give you kudos for running both a great website and a great YouTube channel. Thanks a lot for hosting the content i’m giving you. 🙂
Anyway, For my next contribution: The Tweeter Center Camden performance of 2002.
It’s a recorded live video of the GGD performance at the Tweeter Center in Camden, NJ. The Quality of the video isn’t the best, But it does feature one of the few times the song ‘What Do You Need?’ had been played by the band.
In terms of the quality, I actually did not find it that bad, as far as both the audio and video were concerned. The file itself is most likely a VHS rip coming with the standardized 640x480p encoding format.
Overall, the show is quite cool and well performed by John et al. It packs 22 songs, for a total running time of around 85 minutes.
