John Rzeznik On VH1 “The Greatest 100 Sexiest Artists” (2002)

The next release from contributor Christina is a short clip that aired on VH1 back in 2002, specifically aimed at the ladies.

The success of “Iris” not only meant for the Goo Goo Dolls the possibility to use their craft to pay the bills, but it also offered the chance to the band’s guitarist John Rzeznik to show off his looks to the world. I actually think his iconic performance in the aforementioned music video must have caught the attention of many directors back in the day. If I remember correctly, there were talks of him being considered for acting jobs in movies or TV series.

The haircut he wore during those years, reminiscent of 1990’s Jon Bon Jovi, can be considered an improved version to the latter and, for John, a return to his old looks which he implemented during the “Superstar Car Wash” era but only kept for roughly one year. His haircut, among other things, is at the center of the discussion in the video Christina offers some more info about:

Yes, it’s the revenge of the mindless VH1 countdown shows. Wanda Sykes talks about how sexy John’s hair is. John comments on how sexy Sheryl Crow is. That’s all I’ve got.

The file itself is obviously a VHS rip coming with the standardized 640x480p encoding job. The quality for this one is actually quite good.

Today’s release is a bit different from the ones we published in the past, as it is mainly aimed at gossip and the likes. I think it’s nice to deviate from the main focuses of the blog once in a while. And yes, given the contents of this clip, I’m sure the horny ladies couldn’t have clicked on the video embedded below any faster than they already did as soon as they saw the title of this post.

You can watch the video below. Download links are available at the end of this post.

    1. Thanks haha. I was cracking up going through these tapes… some of these TV shows were just so goofy. But you never knew when the GGD’s might appear so you had to keep watching!
