The latest from one of my sources is a Goo Goo Dolls meaty concert in their hometown during the “A Boy Named Goo” tour, back in 1996.
On September 28th, 1996 John et al. were at the Marine Midland Arena (now KeyBank Center) during the tour for their fifth release. This was a very energetic concert which boosted a total of 21 songs.
The setlist.fm entry I linked above might be wrong, or the release I got is missing two songs. In fact, “Impersonality” and “Another Second Time Around” are not to be found in the version I got.
This is another occasion to listen to one of those rare “Disconnected” live takes which have been executed by the band only in a few instances.
The show per se is great but unfortunately the audio quality is not on par with the live performance. This is certainly a crowd recording which is oftentimes a bit muffled and slightly distorted. In certain instances it actually sounds pretty good, but my impression is that when the instruments get pretty loud the audio suffers from sound artifacts. I think it may be because the recording equipment was not good overall, whilst the recorder had been placed pretty close to the stage. The latter works in our favor, as it renders the songs and lyrics recognizable.
Nevertheless, this is very cool material which we are glad to add to our ever-growing archive.
You can listen to the concert below. Download links are available at the end of this post.
EDIT: Apparently the version I got is incomplete and the setlist entry was correct. For the missing two songs you can check out this link. Courtesy of contributor Ryne.

It looks like my version is incomplete. Will add the missing songs to the post though
