It’s time to share another release from contributor Christina‘s catalog. In 1995 John et al. participated to numerous TV shows to promote their breakthrough album “A Boy Named Goo”, including a live performance at the famous Jon Stewart Show.
No need to reiterate how pivotal 1995 was to the band, both in terms of success and personal emancipation. Along with the following year, it certainly was an extremely busy period for the Buffalo, NY act. Christina has shared with us a TV live take of two songs which took place at the same program. Not to be confused with The Daily Show with Jon Stewart — this was a short-lived late night MTV talk show with the same host that ran from 1993-1995
Christina’s version differs from the one that was uploaded on YouTube many years ago, as it comes with a longer timeframe (ten more seconds) and to me, looks a bit better. Still, this is a VHS rip from an analog source, so do not expect to compare it to today’s standards. In terms of encoding format, it is the usual 640x480p video size.
