Blog News: Introducing “Archive.org Preservation Project (APP)”

Dear Temple Of Goo readers,

Today we officially introduce the “Archive.org Preservation Project (APP)” to our blog. You can find its dedicated page on the top Menu, under the “Unified Download Center” button.

APP aims at providing Goo Goo Dolls fans with a perpetual source where to obtain the digitalized contents featured in our blog.

Do you remember the Videopimped Goo Goo Dolls post? In the universe of the World Wide Web, websites come and go, and so do the files they host. With the help of Archive.org’s technologies, the Temple now has a better shot at preserving the amazing releases our contributors provide us with in a way which is likely to guaranteed them with a continuous online presence, regardless of whether or not the Temple Of Goo will stay online in the coming years.

Consider APP as an ulterior resource where to store the contents which are already distributed through the blog, in case the latter, for whatever reason, ceases to exit. APP is a great way for both older and newer fans to constantly have a safe place where to find the amazing Goo Goo Dolls stuff we’ve had the pleasure to host.

I encourage you all to read all the information provided in the dedicated page, which offers further details about the project.

Please notice that Temple Of Goo releases will be uploaded to Archive.org without a specific order.

Blog News: Unified Download Center now available

Dear Temple Of Goo readers,

Today we added to our blog a new section called “Unified Download Center“.

In a nutshell, the Unified Download Center offers an easy-to-browse selection of all the digital releases featured in the blog (and categorized under the Download section of the website) in the form of folder listing. Its focus is to have users save time when looking for releases, rather than have them browse all of the posts published on the blog.

You can access the Unified Download Center by clicking on the page linked at the top, on the main menu.

Please Notice: Due to the blog’s theme space restrictions, I have created a sub-section for the “Download Links Not Working?” page on the main menu. When you hover your mouse on “Unified Download Center”, the former page will also appear underneath it. Logically, clicking on any of the two will redirect you to the desired page.
