Live In Alaska (Sympathy / You Never Know, 2006) [Never-Seen-Before Footage]

Today we share something quite rare from the 2000’s, that is two outtakes from the “Live In Alaska” DVD which did not make the final cut.

The DVD was issued in 2006 and basically showed the band visiting several locations in Alaska. For each one of them, a different song was performed in an unplugged fashion.

The final cut of the DVD featured a total of seven songs, although more were actually recorded. We already wrote about one of the outtakes, the one for “Sympathy“, here. Today, contributor Christina sent us our own version of the clip, along with another one which didn’t make the final release: “You Never Know“.

Needless to say, these are DVD rips which come with a slightly different encoding format than the standardized one, that is 708x364p. I guess the footage was recorded to be more compatible with widescreens, that is why the number of horizontal pixels is higher and the vertical ones are lower than the regular 640x480p.

Anyhow, this is indeed very rare stuff. You all should thanks Christina for providing us with it.

You can watch the video before, download links are available at the end of this post.

PLEASE NOTICE: Christina sent two separate files. I decided to merge them into a single one, using a method which guarantees lossless conversion. In the download links below, both the single files and the merged one are included for transparency. Like I stated many times already, such method permits unifying video clips without any quality loss.
