“Two Days In February”: A Special Release!

Contributor Bailey sent a message our way today, informing us of a special release the band is putting out to celebrate the 20th anniversary of one of their most famous live shows.

I’ll be honest and admit I completely missed the announcement that the Goo Goo Dolls are (re-)releasing their popular July 4th, 2004 concert, but this time through the vinyl format. You can read the official announcement here. Pre-orders are up here. To celebrate the occasion, the band has also released a remastered clip Bailey has more details about:

Hello!

I have some special news to share today, from the Goo Goo Dolls themselves, that is. I don’t know if you’ve seen this yet, tons of other fans have, so I figured this would make a worthy post.

On Friday I opened up YouTube and was surprised to see the Goo Goos had posted “Two Days In February” live in Buffalo 2004 in high definition remaster! It’s already up on YouTube but wasn’t posted by them, and was in low definition, most likely because of the rain and the technology of, well, 20 years ago. Can you believe it’s been that long? It’s nice to see the Dolls are celebrating their incredible hometown show with some new content (sort of)! Would highly recommend seeing this—I don’t know about you, but I’m still baffled by the video remastering technology…I watched their remastered Dizzy videos last year and man! It’s incredible!

But here it is, in all of its glory!

In other news, it looks like the band is busy working on another project, this one comprised of new songs though, however they are aiming for a 2025 release. At least, that’s the speculation that’s being circulating online.

Thanks Bailey for the tip.
