Goo Goo Dolls Commenting On “Here Is Gone” (VH1’s Top 40 Videos Of The Year, 2002)

It’s time to publish another release from contributor Christina. In this pretty rare clip, we get to see the band making comments on the production for the music video which accompanied the first single off of “Gutterflower”.

The concept of music videos is probably an annoying one for John et al. I remember the band mentioning a few times that they never liked too much shooting them. Something that had to do with the fact they were not fine with the notion of having to fake singing and playing in front of a camera.

In today’s release, we get to listen to their thoughts in reference to a specific music video, the one for “Here Is Gone“. Christina has some more details to share:

A quick blurb from another VH1 countdown show, this time placing “Here Is Gone” as their 24th best video of 2002. This clip gives some cool behind-the-scenes info on the music video and how it was produced.

Again, this was taken from one of the many VH1 programs that had to do with the music business. Apparently, the clip was liked by the audience and the latter turned it into one of the best music videos of 2002. I personally never saw anything special about it, and considered it to be a pretty lazy job from the director who offered nothing more than the typical “teenage rebels” script with the band making a few, mostly unrelated appearances. That’s just my opinion anyway.

In terms of the file itself, this is a VHS rip coming with the standardized 640x480p encoding format. Overall, quality is pretty decent and definitely watchable.
